Day 1Depart Los Angeles or San FranciscoLeave LAX or SFO for Sydney The adventure begins! (Other departure cities are also available)

Day 2Cross International Date LineIn flight. The flight does not actually take two days, but you lose one day because of the International Date Line. You will regain it at the end of your trip.

Day 3SydneyIn the afternoon you will have a tour of the Sydney Opera House. The rest of the day is free to walk around the various areas, from Circular Quay, or the Rocks area or even Darling Harbor.

Day 4SydneyThis morning make your own way to Circular Quay where you board your Matilda Cruise vessel. Cruise the spectacular Sydney Harbor, a must for all visitors to see. See the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge from the water.

Return to Circular Quay where you will have a guided walking tour through the historic Rocks area. The Rocks is the foundation place of Sydney and Australia, and of enormous historical significance.

Day 5SydneyYou will be picked up for your Hunter Valley Wine Tour.* Leaving your hotel, you will wind your way through the leafy Northern Suburbs & then escape through the brilliant sandstone outcrops of Ku-ring-gai National Park to reach the mighty Hawkesbury River. We stroll through the villages before departing for the Broken Back Range & climb the escarpment to Mt View before descending into the Hunter Valley to begin our wine tasting at a few of the very special boutique wineries in the area. We chat to the owners, admire their cottage locations & let them show off the best of their vintages. In the foothills of the Broken Back Range, we enjoy a gourmet lunch & spend the afternoon visiting some of the larger vineyards for more superb wine tastings. As the afternoon approaches we return to Sydney via the scenic freeway to conclude this relaxing and enjoyable day.

Day 6SydneyThis fantastic Ecotour in a quality 4WD vehicle* begins at your hotel & the historical Rocks area of old Sydney. It is here we leave the ‘average' Blue Mountains tourist behind & enter the National Park to unlock a piece of Australia you would never have known existed. We visit an ancient Aboriginal site & outstanding lookouts; examine rock formations & the unusual plants & wildlife that abound the area. From the quaint little village of Leura we skirt around Cliff Drive to Katoomba where you will find yourself looking out over the magnificent Jamieson Valley (Australia's Grand Canyon) & the Three Sisters. We enjoy a delicious barbeque lunch including a selection of fine Australian wines with a cheese platter under the canopy of the Australian bush. Before returning to Sydney we drop into a hidden valley where we roam the area, seeking out the many kangaroos that graze in the wild (conditions permitting).

Day 7AdelaideToday you will fly from Sydney to Adelaide upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon you will have a city highlights tour. This tour also includes visiting the charming German influenced suburb of Handorf.

Day 8AdelaideYou will be collected from your city hotel in a luxury, air conditioned touring vehicle andtake you on the famous "Classic Times Amongst the Vines" day tour. Hosted by an experienced Wine Tour Guide, the day is full of surprises, none the least the vineyards themselves – the oldest continually working vineyards in the world! Visit small, family wineries that provide a special experience. Cellar door tastings and sales from wineries whose wines have earned top awards from around the world. Lunch included.

NOTE: If you have more time, we HIGHLY recommend that you add at least two days to go to Kangaroo Island. Here you can have some interaction with the wonderful wildlife of Australia close-up as well as stay at a beautiful boutique hotel and enjoy the fine wines and gourmet home-cooked meals of the hosts.

Day 9MelbourneToday you have a free morning in Adelaide. You have an early afternoon flight to Melbourne. You arrive in the evening. Evening: The Colonial Tramcar: Travel through the city and fashionable suburbs whilst enjoying an elegant and delicious dinner.

Day 10MelbourneToday you will see the famous Great Ocean Road and the beautiful pastural land on this intimate 4WD tour. You will have a coach tour along the Great Ocean Road, where you will be able to see the Twelve Apostles, Island Arch, Razorback and the rugged coastline. You will have lunch at a delightful boutique restaurant, with your choice of fine Australralian wines. Afterwards you will drive back via an inland route in which you will see some of the georgeous rural, rancher lands and rolling lush hills. You will be returned to your hotel in the late evening.

Day 11MelbourneToday you will visit the Yarra Valley one of the major wine regions in Australia. You will have the opportunity to visit some boutique wineries and experience a fabulous lunch.
